Avellonis

Along with it's neighbours Kingsbury, and Thornton - Avellonis is situated on the Triptych continent as part of the Kingdom of Rainegate. Geopolitically it's the largest of the three with 10 cities of varying size as well as the elven and dwarven settlements.
Geologically the three sub-continents would have been part of one big continent seperating through the ages, Historically it's been the greatest political power of the three and to this day holding the title of High King.

Etymology

Before the Age of Unification when the land was untamed and divided among the disparate tribes, It was simply known as "The Realm" by it's inhabitants with each tribe nestled within it's own corner of vast wilderness knowing only of it's immediate surroundings and ignorant of the lands beyond them. With the dawn of a new era marked by unity and the ascension of a leader, The land underwent a transformation both political and symbolic. As the tribes coalesced under the banner of Avellonis Trueblade and his Vigilants of Old - They forged a collective identity that transcended the traditonal tribal boundaries and heralded the birth of a new greater nation.
Long after the Age of Unification when the great king would pass away - It was in the hallowed halls of the Grand Assembly, where the fate of nations was decided and history was shaped, it was decreed that the sub-continent as the heartland of the burgeoning kingdom should bear the name of it's greatest champion. And thus with a stroke of quill and the weight of tradition behind it, the land became known as "Avellonis - a testament to the indomitable spirit of it's people and the forever enduring legacy of their beloved king.
Through the ages, the name Avellonis has become synonymous with strength, unity, and resilience serving as a light of unity for generations yet unborn and a reminder of the sacrifices made to secure a brighter future. And as the land continues to evolve and thrive, its name stands as a testament to the enduring power of human determination and the enduring bonds of brotherhood that bind its people together.
