Helena

Helena is a human soldier for the Catfolk Freehold on the continent of Udarich. She is currently stationed at Firelda Outpost. During the time of The Big HELP, Helena was one of many people that found herself granted sorcerous powers and the mark of Arazid to match.
Though generally kind, Helena is prone to fits of anger when she feels she or someone she likes is wronged. She is fiercely protective of the Catfolk Freehold and will defend it at all costs. 

History

Born in 3077, Helena is the adopted daughter of two Freehold rangers from Popoki Village. Her parents took her in after a battle against Ribahrn Territory raiders, though they had no way of knowing for sure which side of the battle her birth parents had been on. She had a difficult time growing up as the only human in a village of tabaxi and never really felt comfortable there. Helena regularly got into fights with the other children. At 18, she eagerly signed up to follow in her parents' footsteps as a ranger.
It was at Firelda Outpost that Helena met a group of adventurers called The Big HELP. Though suspiscious at first, Helena agreed to invite the group into the outpost as to investigate sightings of necromantic activity in the area. She seemed immediately smitten with Bigwig, but tried to hide it with anxiety over the new outpost commander. At the time, Helena was caring for a feverish child. Larka recognized one of the symptoms matched Bigwig's sudden appearance of the Cult of Arazid mark. Helena watched in surprise as Bigwig was able to heal the child.
When the HELP sabotaged an oncoming Pascatia attack, Helena returned to the outpost to inform Commander Kilgrid. The HELP returned as the outpost army readied their counter attack and Helena offered to provide assistance in tracking down the Necromancer. After a night of drinking, Helena asked Bigwig for a private moment and revealed that they both had the Cult of Arazid's mark. She had been more panicked regarding what the mark meant. After Bigwig helped her calm down, the night nearly turned intimate before Pascatia's failed attack caused an underground river to rip through the cave network and outpost foundations below.
Helena and The Big HELP found several Pascatia soldiers that had been washed into the outpost basement from the explosion. The HELP were concerned by how easily she killed the wounded soldiers during the fight. Despite this, Helena was happy to help the party through the caves, even when they were transported into the Necromancer's lair.
