Kanonos Region

The Kanonos Region stands in stark contrast to the rest of Nolavor. Located in the south-central region of Nolavor, it is dominated by Orc overlords The region has been subjected to extensive deforestation to make way for industry. The once lush jungles have been replaced by smog-filled air emanating from forges and factories. The rivers, once teeming with life, now run black with pollution. This industrialization has led to the enslavement of local tribes, further exacerbating the tensions in the area.   However, the Kanonos Region is not without its defenders. A guerrilla group known as the "Reclaimers" has emerged, composed of druids and rangers committed to restoring the natural beauty of the jungle. They operate in the shadows, launching covert operations against the Orc strongholds and sabotaging their industrial efforts whenever possible.   The Jungle's Claw Tavern, a notorious gathering place for mercenaries, bounty hunters, and criminals, is also located in this region. Owned by Kurgan Weinrich, the tavern serves as a hub for information and resources, although it should be noted that Kurgan has dealings only with Scout Nok from the Kurnok tribe and not the tribe as a whole.   Despite its current state, the Kanonos Region was once a part of the sprawling jungles that make up much of Nolavor. Traces of its former glory can still be found in the more remote areas, where the influence of the Orc overlords has not yet reached. These pockets of untouched wilderness serve as a painful reminder of what has been lost, as well as a glimmer of hope for what could be regained.   The Black Fire, a malevolent force that permeates much of Nolavor, also has a significant presence in the Kanonos Region. Its influence is most strongly felt in the northern parts, where the Kurnok tribe resides. The tribe's embrace of the Black Fire's dark magic stands in direct opposition to the Reclaimers' efforts, creating a complex web of alliances and enmities that defines the region's precarious balance of power.
