The Capital of Eredet
The city of Eredet and its 13 sprawling districts serve as the capital of the entire continent of Dremora. Here, all of the culture, politics, religion, and history of the various regions – of the gods themselves – mesh, often harmoniously, yet often with bitter clash. The streets are filled with people of all races, sizes, backgrounds, religions, and cultural practices. The streets are filled with the arrival of new technologies. Within the city's walls, the Tower Citadel stretches towards the sky, overlooking the rolling waves of the Neg'Varos Bay.
The Tower Citadel, given its size, is often regarded as the 13th District of Eredet and houses almost every race that calls Dremora home.
The region of Eredet was once an unclaimed patch of land ruled by no god of the pantheon. Now, it stands as the largest city on the continent and a symbol of all pieces made whole. Much of the small region is covered by the sprawling city. The rest is primarily rolling grasslands that transition to the towering snow-topped peaks of the mountains of Elios in the East, to the rocky lands of Ragna to the South, or to the faint ash-covered realm of death and decomposition of Ah'Shal to the North. Eredet is the center of politics, religion, and culture, boasting competing claims to positions as leaders of technology, the arcane... and perhaps other nefarious affairs.
Basic History
Eredet was – and still is – a small region, unclaimed by any current deity on the pantheon. However, it is believed to be the last known location on the material plane of Dremora that The One resided. As such, there has always been a small, devout settlement there. Yet even 2,000 years ago, it was nothing more than a small, religious community. There were no walls. There was no Tower Citadel, just a modest temple surrounded by a ring of abodes and shops with a marketplace square. Beyond that ring of buildings were small farms. It was a simple and modest, devoted and religious community.
The year the calendar was formulated coincided with an important shift in the role of Eredet on the continent. Grand Priest Ihyesult created the calendar as the Barrier was constructed around the continent by the pantheon, a product of their unity and their homage to The One. Surrounded now by the shimmering reminder of the Creator deity, the eyes of the continent turned to Eredet. As the community began to grow rapidly, there was a need for a larger governing body. Given the diverse backgrounds and cultures of the people arriving, the Council of Eredet was formed.
Over the next 500 years, the small religious settlement would grow into the foundation of the city it is today. As her population grew, the Council of Eredet recognized the need for an increasingly expansive governing body. In 502 YAR, the High Dremoran Council was born, now expanded to include a representative from each region. In its early years, the representatives were often first generation immigrants to Eredet. As the High Dremoran Council gained power and sway, representatives became more likely to come from the political (and other forms of) elite of the regions.
Eredet was poised at a strategic location at the junction of the Neg'Varos Bay, the tributaries to the Tuz'Hultak River, and at a critical crossroads to Elios, Lark'Hal, and the wealth and splendor of Judas. The city quickly prospered, becoming a hub of trade, ideas, and culture. The University of Eredet was recognized as a University in 523 YAR. With wealth, however, often comes crime and encroaching threats. Thus, as the city grew, so did its guard and naturally, the construction of walls followed.
During the Dread King's War, Eredet was subject to attack, though not as brutally as Varoona Proper or the northern settlements of Oshiv'Ran. The small legions that tested the walls of Eredet were turned away by the Guard, but the Dread King's largest force that marched upon the city was ultimately deterred by the arrival of Moon Guard reinforcements. With the aid from Caliban, Philphrosyne, the Lunar Queen, tore through the advancing forces before continuing on to Elios to reinforce the people of Caliban's sister. Andromeda, the Greatwyrm of the Stars, remained to guard the city and would later perish.
In contrast to some other cities and regions, Eredet was able to recover somewhat quickly after the War, partially due to its harsh political decisions. Concerns were immediately raised as Judas' domain fell, signifying the loss of people, resources, and significant wealth. Debate raged for weeks before the Council determined that Judas was no more. That region's seat was revoked and funding dedicated to the other remaining Districts in the city. To save the prosperity of the city... Judas fell to ruin once more in the halls of what should have been the God of Trade and Wealth's last remaining vestige...
Eredet has since served as a pinnacle of knowledge and advancement as well as a place where all may be united, all parts made whole. The High Dremoran Council's power surged after the War, propelled in part by the transfer of religious power and authority to the Grand Priest. Once a mere representative of The One's will, the Grand Priest became the foremost authority, overseeing and dictating all religious affairs.

Politics
Councils are the name of the game in the political sphere. The High Dremoran Council oversees all the upper level affairs of both the city and the continent at large. Additionally, each High Council member leads a separate Council that oversees each District of Eredet's specific affairs and coordinates policies and relationships between Eredet and the associated region. These Councils and the High Dremoran Council are all located within the Tower Citadel.
Also located within the Tower Citadel are various councils, panels, committees, and other informal and formal groups that work to govern specific areas of interest in the city of Eredet and coordinate the transfer of laws and policies to associated regions across the continent. These governmental bodies often cover specific topics such as taxation, education requirements, quality control and related regulations, and civil rights.
A governmental office is located within each district. This is generally run alongside the corresponding governmental unit in the Tower Citadel, but is often set up to mirror the associated region's government. For example, the District of Lark'Hal has a monarch that oversees the District direct affairs, though must defer to or work directly with the Tower Citadel governmental units.
A police force that answers directly to the Tower Citadel operates throughout all districts and is supplemented by District police forces.

Economy
Given its position at the intersection of multiple waterways and trade routes, Eredet has developed into a trade center. Products are sent across the Bay, on caravans to Lark’Hal, and down river to Ragna, Oshiv’Ran, and Varoona. Similar, products return and travel through Eredet. Thus, Eredet has the most diverse array of items available. Do you want that specific fruit from your home city? High chance you’ll find it at the market in the associated district. Are you looking to acquire some of the new technology from Nacheevi? Rest assured, Eredet is one of the first to see the new models. You could be one of the first to own one! Product and other commodities are almost always in motion through Eredet.
Otherwise, Eredet has very little products that it produces for itself. There is some farmland that provides a small portion of the foods city – though nowhere near enough to support its current population. Perhaps its greatest production is the unique blend of culture that it produces. The concept of all parts united into the whole is the strongest in Eredet, and equal religious observances are encouraged.
The Tourism Industry – As the city of Eredet holds substantial history and an opportunity for people to “see” other regions of Dremora in the various districts, the tourism industry is MASSIVE here. There are guided historical tours through the entire city of Eredet or deeper dive tours into the various districts. Cruises regular leave from the docks around the Neg’Varos Bay… notably skirting the smog-covered region of Ah’Shal.
People
It is no surprise that Eredet – the melting pot of the continent – is the most diverse in the people that call it home. One can find almost any race occupying the streets of Eredet. Although some people have found homes in districts that may oppose the most common race-region pairing, the districts individually do reflect the regions they mimic.- District of Ah'Shal: Humans, tieflings, warforged, and various other races
- District of Caliban: Although dragonborn are certainly a majority, they are not overwhelming in number like the actual region; halflings, kalashtar
- District of Carmenthia: Yuan-Ti, Tortles, humans, water genasi, Keresello
- District of Elios: There are a surprisingly few aarakocra and other avian races here. A mix of various races oddly occupies it.
- District of Judas: very much the slums where the poor and destitute have found homes amidst the crumbling remains of a once luxurious district.
- District of Lark’Hal: Genasi, half-elves, humans, tabaxi, gnomes
- District of Nacheevi: Dwarves, goliaths, humans
- District of Oshiv’Ran: Shifters, humans, Firbolgs
- District of Ragna: Orcs, Half-orcs, fire genasi, tieflings, humans
- District of Tel’Rhea: Elves (eladrin), fey-like races, tieflings, half-elves, gnomes, tabaxi, humans
- District of Therarask: changelings, tabaxi, tieflings, half-elves
- District of Varoona: Elves, half-elves, Keresello, aquatic races, lizardfolk

Religion
One might argue – and would have a solid foundation to do so – that Eredet is the pinnacle of religion, spirituality, and other affairs pertaining to the deities of Dremora. It is the home to the Grand Priest, who oversees the formal election of all High Priests as well as observance of religious freedoms and general religious practices. The only exception to this is the High Oracle, who recognizes the anointments of new Grand Priests. Under the premise of “All parts united and made whole”, the Tower Citadel serves as the largest and only formal Temple to The One and includes temple space to each deity on the pantheon. Additionally, each district has a Temple dedicated to that region’s deity.
Festivals are a large affair in the capital. The largest celebration, however, is the Creation Festival, which occurs on the 1st of Eredenva. The one-day festival is a spectacular affair with an abundance of food, performers and other entertainers lining the streets, and each district hosts a massive parade that united down the central avenue from the edges of the city to the Tower Citadel. There, the mage’s of the Citadel alongside members of the University of Eredet create a spectacular show of lights, color, and illusions (i.e. fireworks). Each district is given 2 hours of the day to showcase performers or other aspects of their culture, with two hours dedicated to Eredet as a whole, in the absence of Judas.
Two other festivals that are a large affair in Eredet are the Festival of Lights in honor of Carmenthia and Emlekezes, the day of remembrance for the Dead.
