Raven's Respite
The last town before the brutal onslaught of the deserts of far east of the Eal Empire, Raven's Respite was a flourishing and prosperous little community in times prior. It served a unique position of restocking adventurers before and after their expeditions. Though as the city of Eal itself continued to get more and more prosperous, interest in the outskirts dwindled, as people became less interested in exploration and moved to the bigger city.
Now very few remain in Raven's Respite. A town stuck in time, holding on desperately to when it had more traffic and business. The people that are left are largely bitter towards city folk, taking pride in living an isolated life, though will always welcome travellers. If you're stopping by, you have to check out Black Bird, the local tavern/general store/doctors office for the best meatloaf you've ever had - just don't ask what's in it...
