Hailfin Port

This unassuming town on the south coast of the Empire has seen better days. Like Starport , trade through the town has been limited since the Skenar Canal enabled ships to effectively travel overland to Tanquary instead of around the coast. Unlike Starport it is an Empire city, and goods from the far west and south would still travel through here on their way to Eal markets.

Then the Black Merfolk happened. Hailfin Port is now a sunken, tangled mess of semi-sentient kelp, strangling thorns and poisonous weeds, all growing over the remains of the village - and villagers. Any living thing touched by the vines becomes infected, darkened and twisted.
