Destek

Destek is a Technological research company located inside the Free Economic Zone of the Mojave. Founded in 2288 in the ruins of the Repconn Headquarters south of New Vegas by Christopher Haversom, following a stay at the same companies testing site with some ghouls. Granted both the HQ and Testing Site by the Courier in 2284 for "Favors owed", Haversom quickly went to work reverse engineering prewar engines for sustainable travel. When he constructed a hybrid steam and electric Train Engine in 2287, Haversom quickly realized he needed workers, and a company infrastructure to start manufacturing and supplying these engines. Thus, officially in 2288, DesTek was formed. The company made news again in 2290, when Haversom and a team of his best scientists and engineers were invited to Helios One to further optimize its power output, and construct emergency power storage batteries. Succeeding where the New California Republic and Followers of the Apocalypse failed, Destek was rewarded with constant access to a percentage of its power for its nearby testing site. What exactly is going on inside the testing site is unknown, but reports from the citizens of Novac state of strange explosions in the desert.

Public Agenda

Destek's official statement is to "bring about a return of engineering and travel."

Assets

Destek owns a HQ south of New Vegas, and a testing facility just west of Novac. They also, like any company in the FEZ, have stocks, each Destek Stock is worth about 20 caps.
