Basti

Also known as catfolk, the Basti are a near-human species native to Khemri although they can be found throughout the Known World. With cat-like heads and faces, skin covered in fine fur, digitigrade legs, tails and clawed hands & feet, the Basti look like nothing more than humanoid cats. Unlike many of the people of Khemri, they are not a thanocentric people and reject the common necromancy of that culture. They worship the Goddess of Wisdom who they depict as having a lioness's head (depicting gods with animal heads is common in Khemri, but the Basti often depict the goddess - whom they call Sehkmet - as a lioness-headed Basti rather than just a lioness-headed human).
