Glass Forest of Rhyte

A unique region within the Caluan Desert. Molten rivers run under certain regions of the desert, causing the rivers of gold to form. These yellow molten flows pick up sand and metal ores so while not always true gold, they often take that colour. The Glass Forest has had its molten activity calmed but in ages past the hot underground flows would erupt into the sand above and melt the sand into spires of glass. The region became known as the Glass Forest because there were so many glass spikes that a shade became more accessible as well as creatures attracted to the interesting light refracts that bounced between the glass. More animals and shade led to more seeds and soil. Soon moss began to grow under the caustic luminance of the forest. A vein of essence collided with one of the molten rivers and this created an aura of intrigue and mystery within this forest. The magic produced allowed Caluan mages to create Sunstones and Moonstones by aiming the light in specific ways.
