A handaxe is an axe, usually with a simple wooden handle and a metal head. Because of its many uses outside of combat, a handaxe is a common side-arm, especially among soldiers who often fight in woodland terrain.

Potential Improvements
- Hooked: Sometimes referred to as a 'bearded' axe, this weapon is designed to disarm weapons or pull shields aside. When making an attack, before rolling, you may choose to use this property instead of dealing damage. If the attack is successful one weapon or shield equipped by the target becomes useless until your next turn. If the attack rolls at least sss or t the item is instead disarmed, being flung away from the equipped model.
- Secondary Head: Some handaxes can be crafted with a secondary weapon built into the back of the axe-head, usually either a Light Mace, Hammer or Military Pick. While this is not usually as effective as a separate weapon, it allows the wielder to switch between damage types more easily than they could change weapons. They may make choose to make attacks with the secondary weapon at any time, but such attacks are made at -d, and the weapon loses the Light or Versatile qualities if it has them.
