Ser Joyanne originally hails from a distant land to the West of The Continent of Greland. Her armour and shield are engraved with a complex interlaced pattern of knots and spirals.
Ser Joyanne Daxer was an attendee of a Tourney held in Cainfield in January of 442KS to celebrate the wedding of Lady Terin Gaunt-Foxworth and Lady Hellna Gaunt. Following the tourney, ser Joyanne entered the service of House Foxworth of Fairstrand as Lady Ophelia Foxworth-Hayford's Sworn Sword.
At The Battle of Southmarket ser Joyanne was killed attempting to recover Lady Ophelia from Kaina Merlyn, however she was amongst those who were Reanimated by Spire Script and Driven by the Darkness. She was subsequently purged of the effects of the Darkness by Sister Katriana Whitewind, however she remains reanimated. As a result she no longer needs to eat, drink or sleep. She spent some time voluntarily in the dungeons of Faircastle, however following Lady Ophelia's return she resumed her former role as Ophelia's Sworn Sword.
During Tourney at Southbay 443KS Lady Ophelia Foxworth-Hayford arranged a connection between ser Joyanne and ser Izenna Ofield, for whom she also arranged a position as Mayor of Travercraig in Cainfield.
