Scoria

Scoria is a mountainous realm on the northern coast of Lotria. It borders both Euphoria and Dysphoria to its south.

Inhabitants

Scoria is the ancestral home of Dwarves.

Government

There are 100 acknowledged mountain strongholds within Scoria. Each constitutes its own kingdom, with the ruling family line typically extending back for countless generations. The reigning monarch of each stronghold is a defacto member of the Assembly of Free and Independant Kings.

Culture

Scorian culture is almost entirely subterranean, with the tunnels of each kingdom extending downward for miles. Trade between adjacent kingdoms relies upon an extensive network of near-surface tunnels. Mountain tops and bases often feature tiny, excavated apartments; these are reserved for defense functions, and for housing the elite. Scorians and are known to defend their territory fiercely.
