Meeting of the Gods

A month of travel for three of the Gods, from Asalay to Suwirsha. A fourth on the horizon. Four stories are ending. One great adventure has just begun.

Arrival

The three Gods traveled along, and time flew by. They stopped in the Kingdom of Lurelay and heard stories of a passing warship of immense size and speed that stopped by the port to gather paladins - from context clues, a Safia-related vessel. Then, further along, the crew experimented with the flayed pelt of Uyazi and used Speak with Dead on it. They discovered that Uyazi was half in Paradise, half in the pelt, and was not having a great time. The flayed Uyazi also revealed that they had been pumped of information by the False Chimera's desecrated contact. The group burned Uyazi's pelt, which took some concentrated effort.   Then, near Suwirsha, the group was intercepted by Haru. The God told them to wait for a day in the city, meet up with Potha, have some fun. He gave them a sending stone, to serve as a line of communication between the party and Haru. They disembarked with most of their NPCs and headed to meet up with Blessing Saraja.   The group chatted and their NPCs mingled. Dailio and Keen sparked against each other, as did Temperance/Curiosity and Imora. Makar introduced themselves to the Zeshem as the Masked One and elevated their rank among the Hunters of Norinar to the maximum rank.

Destiny

The Four Architects all felt something when they first touched, a kind of unknown potential that could be opened and explored if all four worked together. After settling their NPCs, they each activated this potential at once, and were transported mentally into the realm of the Referee out of time and space.   The temple-city of the Referee was empty, but well-furnished for company. The Referee greeted them, and explained that they could use this space to pause time, talk, and plan - they couldn't rest their bodies or recuperate spells this way, but they could take a mental breather and talk among themselves. They could also edit reality here, but at a grave cost: the Adversary could respond with a slightly greater counter-edit. Opening this space and using these edits requires all four architects to completely agree to do so.   The referee summoned the Nemeses for a meeting, to outline these new rules. All parties involved got to design their own "avatars" to present themselves (and, annoyingly, Potha and Safia chose almost the exact same avatar - a solar-infused chorical - only Safia's was half a foot taller). The team bantered with Dina, Kasmir, and Safia, but the main piece of the event was finally meeting Verkohn properly. Verkohn invited them to visit him in Eveko to further discuss things. He explained that he intends to destroy Architects as an idea, as well as all consequences - total freedom, total power, cosmic anarchy. The conversation eventually faded out and everyone headed back to reality.

Aysha

The team decided to just ambiently rest until their meeting with Aysha, and to have that happen as soon as possible. They contacted Haru, affirmed their readiness, and did the meeting early. They walked to the palace, and introduced themselves with Haru. Aysha was coldly furious, and verbally jabbed at the Architects for their crimes - mustard gas, gem plague, purgatory, abandoning her. She asked why they did the things they did, and three of the Architects apologized with all of their heart and didn't fight back at all. Makar pushed back a little, and argued that the focus should be on saving the world more than anything else. Aysha agreed.   She would not bless them or grant them resources, but she would work with them to defeat the Adversaries. Once the dust settles, though, she will try and intervene to prevent them from ascending. Kipilu outright declared that they wouldn't accept their Godhood again anyways; Arzet seemed to second the notion. Only Makar actively affirmed that they wanted to ascend once again. When Aysha asked the Gods to stop legitimizing oppressive religions and empires, Potha declared her intention to dismantle the Empire of Runeva (at least as a "war machine"). The party generally seemed interested in dismantling other power structures that used their names. Somehow, Aysha and the party seemed to minimally disagree, despite the animosity and obvious differences in opinion. But will this be the beginning of a beautiful partnership, or the strained attempt at a failed reconciliation?

The Observer

After Aysha, Haru escorted the group to meet the Observer, who was holed up writing away deep within the lighthouse. The Observer was initially standoffish, but the meeting soon became much friendlier. The group asked about the Observer's history, and learned about some of the structural choices around how the apocalypses were made - but the Observer largely avoided any specifics, to remain neutral. With that information, the party was ready to plan their journey ahead, and get to work saving the world!
