Old Artea

The First Homeland of Men. Artea was the gift of the Anverai Gods when Caemar created Mankind. But when the Artean Men squandered their gifts, abused their power. The Virtuous among them were guided away, to the continent of Aederos in what is now Dekmire. While the cruel hearted were left behind to reap the reward of their indulgence of power.
The land had been shifted and reshaped so much that it became unstable. And could not maintain. Caemar and the rest of the Anverai did little in the way of punishment. Other than stripping them of their immortality, and taking The Mages Gift from all but the Virtuous that had been led away. The greater justice had already been done.
Poets and scholars today still sing and write of the folly of the Artean Men. How they were given Immortality, Magic, and vast, fertile land. But for all its quality, and all their gifts. It was not enough. And their insatiability became their own undoing.

Geography

Old Artea had a mostly grassland terrain. Flanked in five corners by Five Mighty Peaks. The Height of Winds, the Height of Shadows, the Height of Growth, the Height of Frost, and the Height of the Calling. At the center of the Continent. There was the Height of Flames. Plant life grew uninhibited. All means of life were possible. The old Continent was beautiful and without compare.

Fauna & Flora

Many healthy, medicinal, and edible plants grew in Old Artea. The wide open grasslands were walled on the northern and southern points by two great forests. Where trees could be chopped down, and grew again. Never having to sacrifice the beauty of the forest forever.

Natural Resources

The Old Continent was rich many metals, minerals, and other such resources. All that Mankind could ever want was at its fingertips.
