Order of the Blazing Heart
The Order of the Blazing Heart was formed after the famous hunter Kerald killed the Twice Crowned King, the hunter was granted knighthood by the king of the Frais Region, King Franst the Second. With the intention that they would serve as the king's eye in the outskirts of League and in the deep woods where conventional forces weren’t feasible to maintain.
But in modern the age they mainly use their expertise as trackers and survivalist as trackers of monstrous beasts and creatures that might pray on citizens of the League. And of course, the most important task they have, is the eradication of Vaprai, the most insidious of monsters that have infiltrated society, and when people see crows in townships, talk of such creatures are quick to follow.
To people on the outskirts, the crows are amongst the greatest heroes in the League keeping them safe from the awful creatures in the night and woods, whilst in the cities, they are feared, for a crow on the hunt most be merciless, and it is not uncommon for innocents to die in the search for the nefarious Vaprai.
The Order of the Blazing heart has no real defining structure, they consist instead of hunt-groups consisting usually of 5 teams of 7, which patrol areas where beasts have been reported or where they habitually reside. The order has a few stationed outpost, where they recupe and gather supplies before leaving, stocked by the central organization which has its home in the Kingdom of Frais .
These incursions into the inner states for the vampires has cause some controversy, with many nobles being outraged that they must submit to searches and even the killing of some innocent families! And the DSI being incensed at the breach of their authority in the heartlands. This pressure to push out the Blazing heart from the center is something they resist, but are less able to every year from receeding funds.
