Orlen Tupporo
Orlen Tupporo is an infamous Gnomish necromancer who was one of the leaders of the Necromantic Plot. Since his defeat in 1391, he has been imprisoned in the dungeons below Treavley.
Personal History
Early Life
Born in 1340, Orlen spent his early years traveling with his family’s wagon. During the Great Revolt, his parents smuggled weapons for the revolutionaries. This ended tragically when Thyrian legionnaires discovered them, leading to their executions. Forced to watch, the executions marked Orlen’s infatuation with death. Orlen then spent the next few years wandering as an orphan.Treavley
Having innate magical ability, Orlen became an effective pickpocket. He stole from travelers passing through Swordsbreak until he was caught by a passing wizard. Impressed, the wizard brought the youth to Treavley to be properly trained as a mage. Here, Orlen joined the school of necromancy. Finding his calling, Orlen thrived and quickly became one of the strongest necromancers in Fayara.Friendship with Eldor
While an initiate, Orlen became close friends with Eldor Kilner. The two were nearly inseparable, with both sharing a dream of becoming powerful mages. In time, their relationship became romantic in nature.Necromantic Plot
Eldor and Orlen were saddened to see Ilyria and then Trelios become led by aristocrats similar to the Thyrians who came before. Elvish aristocracy had just been replaced with Human nobility. Believing the pair could do better, a plan was hatched to take control of Ilyria. This culminated with the Necromantic Plot, which was only foiled due to the Sunforged Order. Eldor was executed, with Orlen being dragged away in chains. Orlen has since spent the last fifty years in a cell below Treavley, boding over his failures.
