Gugenor was born in Karakadaw, on the other side of the Edhekadrel. Considered by his peers to be a mediocre smith, he traveled to Doroinir Nimloth and even to Shelor to learn the smithing of other races. He is currently in the Maecodian Confederation learning from human smiths.

Gugenor has a long distance relationship with a cousin of Queen Palay Dawi. They write each other often and he's always looking for someone to deliver his messages.

Like most smiths in Karakadaw, he was reared in a tutelage alongside a dozen other apprentices. He 'graduated' roughly in the middle of his class.
