The Seven Flowers Temple
The Seven Flowers Temple is one of the main places of worship in Gardinya Lyra for the Children of the Blessed. It is located on Sunflower Lake in the Northern Pine Ranch Neighborhood District. It's the second tallest building in the city, second only to the Vigil Clocktower. There are seven hundred steps to the top of the temple, spread over 35 staircases. Every five staircases, there is a break for an alter to one of the sacred flowers (sunflower, moonflower, windflower, starflower, rain lily, winter rose, and summer daisy), with the most sacred, the starflower, at the top alter at the highest point of the temple.
The entire building is made out of the glittering white marble brought all the way to the city from mines in Caro, all the way on the other end of the Beyond Mountains, making it one of the prettiest sights in the city. It's known for its towering arches, delicately carved tree-like columns, lovely stained glass windows representing views from every corner of the city, and intricate flower mosaic tile floors.
There is no scheduled service at The Seven Flowers Temple (those are reserved for the smaller neighborhood temples). It is meant to be a quiet place for solo worship and reflection.
