Cardinal Urn

The Cardinal Urn is an ancient anti-Infernal artifact capable of holding the souls of Cardinal Sinners. It was created during the War of the Nine Hells for the purpose of expelling Infernal influences from Materia. It contains the mortal soul of the First One Melora, preserving an image of her from before her ascension to godhood.
The Urn is most often associated with Sora Anzai. Destroyed during Feyrith Elro's betrayal near the end of the War of the Nine Hells, it has remained largely broken and scattered into many different Cardinal Shards.
The prospect of the reassembly and reactivation of the Urn has been speculated on, and has been the subject of a variety of prophecies. The artifact's true power remains unknown. It was reformed by Hanako Fujiwara, Yvri Vrakkas, and Marina Zinyra in 1198.
