Hanako 42: "Itsuki, Part II"
General Summary
Hanako socializes with Hidé Anzai in her new castle in Hiroikawa-jo. After setting out into the countryside and then the city, the pair meet Kai and Piscia, the owners of the Emberbrew Haven coffee house. Hanako hears of a clandestine meeting at the Iron Sentinal barracks, and plans to attend. In the city bazaar, Hanako notices a pair of wealthy young women emerging from the Narrows with a pricey Shou artifact seemingly pillaged from Touchu. Concerned about illegal trade, Hanako makes plans to investigate.
Returning to speak with Naevys and parting with Hidé, Hanako finds Naevys lamenting her complicated romance with Dai, and Hanako offers comfort and a place in Hiroikawa-jo. After gaining a magical disguise, Hanako investigates the Narrows, uncovering a black market selling some Shou jewelry taken from Touchu. There, she meets Talia Balrel, an Apostle of Revna who owns a shop in Kunigawa, and helps her escape after she steals a magic item from the market.
That night, Hanako investigates the Iron Sentinal barracks, finding Gudmund leading a rally against the Celestial Path. After some spending some time at Jade Serenity Teahouse, she runs into Marius and Isabella, gaining a glimpse into their lifestyle. After returning home, Hanako and Isamu fraternize with Ayano.
In the morning Hanako meets with Mirna, striking a deal for her to collect any remaining Shou artifacts in the city in exchange for leaving the status quo favorable to Mirna unchanged. After receiving a sending from Itsuki, Hanako meets with him in Seito, finding that he's built a spy network within Subaru's estate. Pleased with his progress, Hanako offers him a spot on her council as Spymaster.
