Nakatomi Fujiwara
Nakatomi Fujiwara
Nakatomi Fujiwara was a famous warrior and founder of the Fujiwara Dynasty. While not a First One, it has been theorized that Nakatomi still possessed significant magical power.
Life
While the details of Nakatomi's early life are mostly unknown, it is clear that he led a group of loyal warriors to Sakogawa during the Shou-Elvish Wars. After securing the island, he supposedly struck a deal with a phoenix-god that had been bound there by during the War of the Gods, and took a phoenix as his family's crest. A part of the phoenix's soul is said to still reside within the Fushichou Necklace. Nakatomi was said to have many lovers, as marriage was not yet praciced in Shou culture in his lifetime. The identities of his companions remain mostly lost to time, although Fujiwara family histories are said to depict him as sharing a companionship with Sora Anzai near the end of her life after she was weakened during the War of the Nine Hells, the nature of which is unclear. Some Fujiwara scholars have expanded upon these sources to claim that the Anzai Dynasty is thus a branch family of the Fujiwara Dynasty, as they were likely lovers. However, there are no official accounts of Nakatomi fathering any of her children.
