Shou-Elvish Wars
The Shou-Elvish Wars were a mytho-historical series of conflicts between elves native to the Shou Peninsula and Shou humans migrating away from Metis. The war resulted in a decisive human victory.
Background
During the War of the Nine Hells, prominent First One sorcerer Sora Anzai was betrayed and nearly killed by Feyrith Elro, an Elf. His betrayal doomed her plan to repelling infernal influence from Materia and assert the strength of humanity. Sora's close relationship with the humans later known as the Shou ethnic group resulted in a long and bloody imperialist conflict between Shou humans and Elves in retribution for Feyrith's crimes.Outcomes
The war directly resulted in the establishment of the Shou Empire and its ruling Anzai Dynasty with the formerly Elvish city of Seito as it's capital. A clan of Shou warriors later known as the Fujiwara Dynasty played a pivotal role in securing Sakogawa during the conflict, establishing themselves as one of the influential Five Dynasties. The town of Eshsamel in the Feywild, formed by Elves escaping the conflict.
As Elves were forcibly expelled from their homeland, four distinct migrations took place. The majority of the conquered elves traveled through the Shou Peninsula's southern valley to Southern Centeria, forming the Elvish union of Ola Thamar. Some Elves that preferred more arid climates escaped through the Shou Peninsula's northeastern valley to Central Centeria and formed the desert kingdom of Regnum Solas. Many Wood Elves escaped to and founded the forest-island commune of Tethia. A minority of particularly magic-inclined Elves escaped to the Feywild.Feyrith Elro's attempted assassination of Sora Anzai is typically cited as the genesis of the conflict.
