Takeda Dynasty

The Takeda Dynasty is branch family of the Fujiwara Dynasty that split violently from the main family during the Shou warring states period following the Fujiwara-Yamato coup of 798. Their sigil is a black phoenix. The Takeda Dynasty holds lands in the central Shou Peninsula.

Conflict

The Takeda Dynasty fought the Fujiwaras independently in the early stages of the warring states period, later allying with the Yamato Dynasty. Refusing to surrender after the Yamatos stopped fighting, peace was eventually restored when the family was subjugated in the mid 11th century by a unified Anzai-Fujiwara Alliance. Some Takeda members were executed in the mid-late 12th century by Hanzo Fujiwara for ringleading a peasant rebellion.

Solite-Shou War

In the Solite-Shou War of 1198, the Takeda Dynasty sacked the city of Tokuyama in an attempt to wrestle it from the control of the Yamato Dynasty, before being forced to retreat by Shinobu Yamato's armies.   After Fumihiro Yamato's death, it was revealed that Akari Anzai was a Takeda bastard born of incest between Aikawa Yamato and Hiroto Takeda.
