Yamato Dynasty

The Yamato Dynasty is one of the Five Dynasties of the Shou Empire, and has significant influence over both domestic and foreign politics. The Yamato Dynasty Head is Shinobu Yamato.
They control the major cities of Asuka and Tokuyama, with the latter serving as their modern base of operations. Yamatos are generally perceived as being underhanded rogues, adept at speech, and are often associated with the color yellow. Yamatos have a history of serving as diplomats and spymasters in the Shou Empire's government.

History

The Yamato Dynasty rose to prominence as a family of shipbuilders from Asuka in the 4th century A.A. during a period of political turmoil in the city, eventually acquiring vast tracts of land and high political influence. As the family grew, a deliberate attempt was made to distance the family from their past.
The Yamato Dynasty historically worked closely with the Fujiwara Dynasty, initially cooperating with them during the 798 coup in the Shou Empire. However, due to the arrest of the coup leader, Asumi Fujiwara, tensions rose between the families and their alliance was broken.
