First Crown Prince Arvegil - King Arvegil I
Heir Apparent, Soft Spoken
Son of the former High King of Arnor Reunited, First Prince Arvegil has great responsibilities. After his fathers unification of the Arnor Arvegil had been tasked with the defense of Fornost and spearhead against Angmar and The Shadow in the North. Arvegil had made plans ready for the host to march upon the Witch-King yet much was yet to be decided in council. Soon after the Host of the West would bear down upon Angmar in the bloody Siege of Carn-Dûm.
As father of Fifth Prince Arveleg II and now High King of Arnor in Annúminas Arvegil is troubled by the future of his realm. For even should Arnor endure this war the tide of The Shadow is endless. It was this very woe which allowed the influence of Malbeth the Seer to guide Arvegil into darkness and despair. Malbeth himself was consumed by The Shadow and misery he viewed in the Palantir of Fornost in the Tower of Seers. Upon Malbeths defeat by the Fellowship of Renewal Arvegil was healed by the skill of Folcred and Tinuviel and the healing hands of Nelladel. Upon his recovery he rallied the knights and Royal Guard of Fornost and sallied out securing the city and driving out the enemy.
His wife Queen Belavanna Nalómë protects both his son and their family as voice of the nobility and advisor to her lord husband.
Passed down by his father upon his death, King Arvegil I wields, Gurthang (S. Iron of Death) the blade of Túrin Turambar reforged for his father in the fires of Telcar on Lake Nenuiel by a Craft-Lord of Eregion, Dirhael the Smith, and Mim the Dwarf. In its current form it stretches' the length of a Great Sword of War as wielded by Hurin in the days of Old.
King Arvegil standssteadfastly in alliance with King Oromendero whom he considers an invaluable friend and ally.
Though he is often a quiet, unimposing lord who spends a great deal of time translating historical
tomes and indexing texts on herblore like his nephew,
Annatheldyn, he was also a member of King
Arveleg's elite Tirrim Aran (Royal Guard) in his youth. Having completed his spralling eight volumes concerning his Travels in Southern Endor, which detail languages,
customs, herblore, and culinary arts Arvegil has spent much less time in his study and far more time governing his realm. Much less widely
known is the fifth volume of the series, describing the
appearance and methods of the three Nazgûl monarchs
whose realms he visited on his journeys.
