A Recap/timeline of the events of the Embers campaign.
Balasar, Aarathor, Lodoron, and Alamdril Highsworn work together to free themselves from Orcs. They travel to Port Avis in search of work.
The party is hired to act as guards for the wedding of Rothe Veyus. After the wedding is crashed, the party accepts a job with Dyn Viedryn. They head to the Northlands in search of a rare herb.
The party witnesses the re-discovery of a lost artifact: the Wand of Yvyrr, by the pirate Janna Swiftwind. They quickly flee to avoid being seen.
In a battle over a Blightslayer shrine, Balasar beheads Halfanis Redfell, guildmaster of the Harlen Syndicate.
On the behest of Rothe Veyus, the party follows their target, Jarlin Telenir back to the nation of Azleveer.
Following the purchase of a strange mask, Balasar gets a vision of a horrible beast from ancient lore. Something was awakened...
The party, after rejoining the resistance of Azleveer, frees Bren Guildarts Creed from interrogation in Thal Dural.
Aarathor kills the interrogator of Guildarts in a Thal Dural prison cell.
After a figure is knocked from the rooftop during Granvath's ball, the party is halted and chaos erupts. The figure was a resistance member who Bren Guildarts Creed sold out in order to protect the location of his personal research.
Exalian Granvath throws a ball in order to make allies for Azleveer as he transitions to leader. The party attend and are cornered by the son of the guildmaster they'd slain.
Alamdril Highsworn leads the party to the Highsworn Sanctuary and discovers some details about his newfound power.
The party enlists Janna Swiftwind as their captain to the misty Arezar Bay. Aarathor takes a liking to her.
Arezar Bay presents dangers, but nothing the party can't handle. They search the forgotten ruins, finding an undead captain and some kind of portal, as tentacles reach from within and try to escape.
On the open sea, the ship is attacked by a strange Orc pirate. In Port Astra, the party gets their reward from Vorian Damarii. They part with Janna Swiftwind, but not before Aarathor shares a night of passion with her.
They participate and win a battle in the local arena.
The party returns to Rustvayne to meet with The Withered Hand using their new letter of recommendation from Vorian Damarii. Learning little from the members themselves, they poke around the castle before stealing The Zethricrid, an artifact from Balasar's guild.
The party meets Bren Guildarts Creed in Santarsummit. He leads them on an expedition to an old Blightslayer bunker to retrieve a Reliquary.
After discovering one of the reliquaries, the party is stopped by Winnet Lilithi and Triia Lilithi. The two manage to steal the item and teleport it to safety, but Triia is abandoned by her mother. The party takes her prisoner.
After forming a plan to steal back the reliquary, Alamdril heads to Thae Aleeri to alert The Sunguard and seek backup. The rest of the party follows Triia Lilithi south to Falduune.
The Sunguard launch an attack on a Lilithi outpost. While they distract the soldiers, the party heads deeper within the fort to steal back the reliquary. They battle their way in and find the reliquary, but no Winnet Lilithi. The Sunguard take it for safekeeping and Triia agrees to teleport the party to Port Astra, where Lodoran has a party to attend.
Balasar and Aarathane open a small guild together.
Via special invitation, the party attends the party of Ovira Stormwind, an old, mysterious, friend of Lodoron. There, they meet Andrea Allvine, and witness an attempt on her life. Desdin Redfell attacks the party, but is again unsuccessful. Ovira Stormwind explains that Lodoran was once her personally assigned knight. The two worked together for a time, until he started to get in the way of her "experiments". She warned Lodoran to stop meddling in her business, or she would have to seek a more permanent solution to his life.
In order to gain an audience with Wilword Harlen, the party battles in the Rosewood Coliseum and wins.
While viewing the private gallery of Inkhaviir the Collector, the an ancient mantle of a Blightslayer warrior magically attaches itself to Aarathane. Inkhaviir is upset by this, but as the group later discovers that he keeps slave like prisoners, they kill him anyway.
The party, trying to avoid any suspicion in the ordeal with the queen, heads to the metropolis of Volagvaros for the first time. There, they meet with Wilword Harlen and agree to join the Syndicate as the guild champions.
Lodoran and Balasar lead the party back to the Castle Yultrona, the home of The Withered Hand. They pass successfully through the dungeon and into the throne room. They battle the Withered Hand, killing them one by one until none remain. Here, Balasar finds partial justice for his people. Before leaving, Lodoran finds a mutated version of an old friend: a Tabaxi woman who'd saved his life years ago. The party returns to Volagvoros.
Back in Volagvaros, Balasar is called to the beach by a vision. Following a horrible dread that overcomes him, he looks toward the coast to see a tidal wave bearing down on the city. It is unnaturally large; impossibly so. The people of Volagvoros take shelter to survive, but the undercity is flooded and submerged.
The party takes the opportunity presented by the wave to raid the vault of the Bronze Covenant. They sneak within, finding strange artifacts and secrets on the way. They battle a strange Beholder, who seems to be the secret figurehead of the Bronze Covenant.
While Balasar visits the temple, Lodoran is granted a vision by a giantess mage. She helps him see into the past and discover the course of action that turned him into a fallen Aasimar. Lodoran had a master on the island, a giant named Kemzik, who he trained under to learn his runic powers. When Ovira Stormwind decided to test his loyalty, Lodoran returned to the island to kill his master.
Balasar teleports the party out of the vault and into the ruins of his former guildhall. They catch a ship and head north to The Second Astrotemple. There, they are greeted by giants. The giants lead Balasar to the tower and allow him entry. Alamdril loots some strange books while Balasar severs the second chain and empowers his sword, Venturim.
Balasar teleports the party to the city of Thae Aleeri, where they find Bren Guildarts Creed. While Aarathane and Aarathor catch him up on the last few weeks, Alamdril meets with Coris Wildveil and his father, Bemethal Highsworn. He warns of a possible raid on Aestradolia.
After a few days rest, Bren Guildarts Creed leads the party towards a lead he discovered from the local Aket people. The discovery turns out to be far greater than he had imagined, as the party stumbles upon the long lost airship of legend, The Cutlass Dawn.
