Autumia
The Kingdom of the Falling Leaves, named after the region in which it is located, Autumn Valley . Autumia is one of the 13 kingdoms of Morteron Nicknamed due to is famously beautiful autumn season. It is nested in a fertile valley surrounded by the Blacklin mountains. It has been ruled by the ruled by the Metamesia family out of the capital city of Oasis
Structure
Autumia elects their Monarch from the Metamesia bloodline. Thus the selected monarch can be male or female and there are no age requirements.
The Monarch is assisted by his council of advisers known as the Carmines . They are second in political power only to the monarch them self
History
Before the Convergence Barrier Ritual (CBR) Autumn valley was already a peaceful area. The mountains provided protection for its peoples and the fertility of the valley provided most of what was needed. Thus most groups harmoniously coexisted.Even during the Era of the Sailon EmpiresAutumia was relatively untouched . In fact an Old minor Sailon kingdom ruled out out of Aiden, but they reserved most of there resources defending the largest pass into Autumia. Thus many of the Autumn valleys simply contributed tribute to Aiden or provided their own defenses to fend off the Sailon empires. The eventual Metamesia "conquest" was actually more as a unification than a conquest.
Arthur Metamesia, the founder of House Metamesia, first returned to his hometown of Oasis. At the time it was known as a Sangoi refugee village locate at the base of what was then called Paradise falls. Arthur, a genius alchemist Sangoi architect, designed a series of bridges, damns and canals that tamed the rapids at the base of the Paradise falls. This allowed the village to grow is size and prosperity at a fast rate. In fact they change the name of Paradise Falls to Arthur Fall.This growth attracted the attention for Oasis's various amicable neighboring cities. Most of which joined Oasis in an alliance to protect the prosperity of Autumn Valley. Thus the Kingdom of Autumia was founded. We the time for a king was needed, Arthur was chosen to be king due to his good deeds and prior relations with the other establishing kingdoms.
Demography and Population
With the protection of the mountains and relative peace, Autumia has had more time to focus their magical manipulations. Thus the people of this region on average are more skill than the other regions. Thus magic is more ingrained in their everyday of life. The Autumain people also highly value education to various prestigious eduacational institutions flourish in this area.
