High Valley
High Valley was a town in The Southern Passes that was destroyed by orcs and giants during The Mountain War. Built next to a large lake, the town was long known for its beauty and idyllic suroundings. Accessible only by a steep road through the mountains, it was prior to its destruction one of the highest human settlements in the The Dragonpeaks.
The town was built around a large temple of the mountain god Jult, which had managed to survive The Purge. The ancient temple was stunning to behold, over fifty feet tall and built out of dark granite found in the area, and was home to a large and peaceful order of monks. According to legend, when the town was destroyed and most of the population killed, the monks meditated peacefully as they were massacred, with not one trying to escape. The temple is now said to be haunted and the town remains abandoned.
