Ghibbeline Cult

The unique Outremarin variant of the Imperial Cult which emphasizes the ruling authority of the feminine and the subservience of the masculine. Building on the preaching of the first Patriarch of Outremer Arnulf which was used to bolster the claim of Renaud d'Châtillon to the throne and ensure the loyalty of the Black Templar Fulk, the cult's theology was expanded and deepened by Ghibbelin after the death of Baudouin d'Châtillon in order to bring Hugh under the influence of Melisende. Although arguably initially used simply as a tool to ensure the Astartes' loyalty to La Reine, the cult's theology has been developed over the years and is now the official religion of Outremer and an accepted sect in a number of associated or allied realms.
