The oldest of the Ironside children, Katiba Britomart Ironside would be a perfect heir for her eugenics-enthusiastic father, Vizier Balthazar Ironside, being strong, tough and good at fighting. Too bad she was born female, which disqualified her from Balthazar's estimation at birth.

Extreamly muscular with broad shoulders and the strength to match, Britomart works hard to maintain her peak physical prowess. She has been known to break the equipment in the Training Ground on her family's Estate by going all out on it, and her armourer struggles to keep up with her gains.

Britomart's secret relationship with Subvizier Pollux Stargazer was discovered when the Subvizier's twin brother, Castor, and Connie Furr accidentally walked in on the pair while they were making out. Despite Connie believing the two were fighting (and needing to be dragged out by Castor), her surprisingly detailed recounting of the incident to Katib Hugo Dargent gave him enough information to deduce what was actually going on. Neither Hugo nor Castor have spread the information further.Education

Balthazar Ironside: The Vizier was a pretty abusive father to all of his children, going all out in the Training Ground when they were still too young to hold their own. Balthazar is the only person who can reliably still best Britomart in a fight, and although she sometimes has nightmares about their fights from when she was younger, and ruminates on her baby-self's tactics against the grown man, these days she seems to have hardened against his abuses.
Katharine Ironside: Katharine is a more nurturing parent than her husband, and the only person that Britomart is willing to cry in front of. Britomart has a collection of stuffed animals made by the Viziera.
