House of Brasseyes (Area of Concern: Learning and Research)
One of the eight "non-human" noble families, the Gnomish House of Brasseyes is one of the older families at court. Formerly their area of concern was Knowledge and Learning, before the Stargazers more recently filled that role. The Brasseyes are keen on relic collecting and magical exploration, and seem to be less averse to the more illicit forms of magic than many at court, although, naturally they do not officially engage in the illegal practices themselves.

Vizier and Viziera
Vizier Aegis Brasseyes: Vizier Aegis Brasseyes is well acquainted with forbidden knowledge. Although it seems like he doesn't actually practice forbidden magic himself, he has been known to fund forbidden research in exchange for access to study the discoveries. His magical gem shield is just one of his family's collected artifacts.Viziera Sybiline Brasseyes: Like her husband, Viziera Sybiline Brasseyes has a gnomish obsession with the arcane, and either herself, her husband or perhaps earlier Brasseyes gnomes have bound illegal creatures in their artifacts.
Subvizier and Subviziera
Subvizier Sigil Brasseyes: Sigil Brasseyes is one of the few still-unmarried unmarried adult Subviziers at court. He, like the rest of his family, has seen things that would get him in trouble with the authorities if he were caught. While his parents are more likely to toe the line, Sigil and his younger siblings, Relic and Grimoire, have discussed forbidden deities more openly. They are not interested in the deities religiously, but are generally interested in the sources of magic and power, whether arcane or divine.Vizier's Other Children
Katib Relic Brasseyes: The "spare" of House Brasseyes, Katib Relic Brasseyes is, like the rest of his family, interested in magical power. When his little sister, Katiba Grimoire Brasseyes, came to him with the Panoptican Hand Dagger, used for containing Divs, Relic recognised it as a Panoptican artifact and was able to explain to her how it worked and helped her tranfer the Pairaka who had been impersonating Yvette the Courtesan, from her magical book into the dagger.Katiba Grimoire Brasseyes: Katiba Grimoire Brasseyes is one of the founding members of Cody's Gang, although being a Gnome she has aged slower than her peers, so is still mentally the youngest of the bunch. She carries a magical book which has bound within it several illegally summoned monsters. Although dubbed an "incorrigible hotspur" by her father and a "creepy little freak" by most of the court, Grimoire does have at least a softer side for Katib Cody Bakerstreet, and was genuinely distressed when she thought he was in danger.
