Viziera Guinevera Dargent

"She's got a smile that hasn't let the rest of her face know that she's smiling."
Connie Furr describes the Viziera in her Star Journal.
The Viziera of the noble House of Dargent, Guinevera is a subtly formidable presence at home and at court. Her warpaint is her metallic silver body, her weapon is her manipulation, and her battlefield is the court. Although less prone to bouts of rage than her husband, when Guinevera is angered she far more cruel and deadly.

Mental characteristics

Mental Trauma

"His wife fears a muddy street and sore paws and a bitter cold and the ruination of a life’s work separating her from the comforts she so briefly tasted so far above. And the knowledge that if she fails, all this will be made reality against her by one far far richer than she."The Man Who Is Not There tells Lindie Asklepa the nightmares of the Noble Court.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Viziera Cassilda Shajara: The two vizieras have some kind of rivalry, each competing to be the best dressed, although Viziera Dargent appears to be the dominant party of the relationship.

Family Ties

No parents are listed in the Noble Peerage for Guinevera, although this is not uncommon for the Vizieras of the new "Human" noble families. Crucially, it does not (necessarily) indicate a Whisper-Vote situation. Vixois was Guinevera's maiden name, but the Dargents don't talk about the Vixois family. Richard Dargent has mentioned that they're "not part of the Plan", adding that, in his opinion, Guinevera was the only sensible one among her family.

Religious Views

Guinevera is a Witch of the Rich Man, with whom she has made some kind of pact in exchange for her powers of witchcraft. Judging by the Rich Man's areas of interest, the agreement is most likely to do with the Dargent Family's fortune and lineage, and perhaps her own personal legacy. Although the Rich Man annually reminds Guinevera of the price of failing to uphold her end of the bargain through horrible nightmares of ruin and destruction, Guinevera still seems to believe she will ultimately come out on top in the overall bargain calculus. The Rich Man's hold over the Viziera may go some way towards explaining why, when angered, her voice becomes hollow and metallic.

Hobbies & Pets

Voltaire: A magical silver fox familiar, with brown eyes, Voltaire was originally a normal fox who was gifted with magic and intelligence by the Rich Man as part of a deal that Guinevera made in order to become a witch.

Speech

"You're both back; how nice."Guinevera insincerely welcomes Victor and Hugo back after they failed to carry out their objectives with Barker's Menagerie.
Guinevera has a soft, pleasant voice laced with danger. When she gets angry her voice rings with a metallic silver quality that hints at her affiliation with her Rich Man patron.
