Jackalslicer Estate

The Jackalslicer Estate has been in the hands of House Jackalslicer for a long time, with consistent architecture all the way down.

Style

Constructed primarily from decoratively carved wood, the Jackalslicer estate consists of a series of interconnected squared-off towers in style of lookout posts or siege towers. The walkways resemble battlements and, far below, a series of crossed wooden and metal spiked stakes at right angle to each other create a Cheval de Frise barrier that horses cannot jump over.   The towers of the Jackalslicer estate are adorned with banners in the Jackalslcer colours.

Estate Grounds

The Jackalslicers grounds consist of interconnected gardens and courtyards. They have a medicine garden and a herb and vegetable garden, and a series of pleasant walk-through gardens. A horse paddock, home of Called By Duty, boasts a group of powerful muscular ponies and light horses. Some of the couryard areas have been used for planting grass, but some have been left as courtyards for unclear purposes. Given the Jackalslicers' historic medical ties it is possible that they are designed to resemble, or perhaps even function as, field hospitals. At one time, the Jackalslicer Estate might have been situated atop a hospital.

Interior

The inside of the Jackalslicer is austere and frugal, at least by noble standards. The entrance hall has a large staircase and leads through to a ballroom filled with finely upholstered furniture and sabres and rifles for wall decorations. The ballroom opens onto the courtyard which contains a firepit and slightly further away, the horse paddock.
