Personal history

Maya Hozuki was the last the surviving daughter of the main bloodline after a series of unfortunate circumstances seemed to bombard the Hozuki clan. First a disease that wrought havoc and killed dozens, many lives lost in battle and a few infertile siblings left Maya as the only female member of the main clan capable of producing a child, meaning that her child would likely end up as the head of the clan or a position of power. Maya had been aware of this fact and was not surprised when she was arranged to marry a man from The Land of Lightning. The two found each other to be enjoyable and a wedding was quickly held. A year later Rengetsu would be born and it would be brought to the attention of Maya and her husband that Rengetsu possessed a rare perfect harmony of water and lightning that few could replicate. Just as a Hozuki could turn their body to water, Rengetsu was equally in tune with lightning chakra. Her body, for brief moments could turn to lightning itself.   Born in the year 270, to the main line of the Hozuki Clan Rengetsu was near destined for greatness. Her mother, Maya Hozuki and father ???, had chosen to raise her in the land of lightning to hone her skills. During these young years she would excel in the Kumogakure academy and become known as a fierce fighter with unstoppable speed, moving as quick as lightning itself. She would graduate at the age of 10 and would be assigned work as a part of squad 6, she would work incredibly hard during this time and is mostly noted for her quick thinking and her discipline, never complaining about assignments regardless of high or low ranking.   She would become a chunin a year later when she was 11, at this time she would begin going on a larger number of dangerous missions and fought against a number of villainous foes. It was noted during this time that many of the chunin and jonin in the village would begin showing disdain towards Rengetsu. Her father had been a high ranking jonin in the village and her mother coming from the Hozuki clan, one of Kumogakure's fiercest rivals in times of war, did not sit well with many. Many felt that due to her tie to the main bloodline she was given special privileges and allowed special treatment within the village, many felt she needed to serve in the lower ranks for longer despite her strength. This would not waver her convictions, she would continue working alongside her teams and serving her village faithfully, even when her village didn't believe in her.   She would be promoted to jonin 2 years later at 14, and would work hard as such. She would find an ally in her land and begin regularly working alongside them regularly leading to the two slowly falling in love.   Pregnant at 17, in love with male teammate, he dies on his first mission after the childs birth.   She finds the one who killed him and exacts revenge, Kumogakure attempts to arrest her for killing a valuable ally as the target had been an under cover operative in a high stakes mission and her partner had been an unfortunate accident involved in their mission.   Following this she would flee from Kumogakure with her child where she would travel back to her clan's homeland in Kirigakure.   After returning to Kirigakure at 19 Rengetsu would spend the next year fighting her way up the ranks, catching the eye of Naka Mirito. The two would become friends and allies shortly afterwards and seemed to help Rengetsu climb the ranks as well.   2 years later, Rengetsu would be given the thunder fangs as a swordsmen of the mist. Tonzo Rigeki was assigned as her trainer.   3 years later Tonzo would perish and his son Hanzo would replace him as the wielder of the Sewing Needle. During this time her daughter, aged 7, would be enrolled in the academy.   At 25 she would be given the chance to train the son of her former teacher, and she would do her best to discipline him while maintaining his father's reputation for honor and resilience.   Throughout the next 5 years she would dedicate her time to training her daughter and Hanzo while working closely with Mizukage Naka Mirito. This would lead to a diplomatic stand still with Kumogakure.   Following the Escape of Kirigakure Prison by team 1 of Shinobi United she would be killed by Meiko Roshi and Sabishi Uchiha. She was 30 at the time of her death.
