Queen Rhiannon Ni Ovak

Queen of the Commonwealth, Rhiannon is the avatar of Morrigan and embued with the divine power of the crow queen. A fierce, honourable, and humble woman, Rhiannon came from modest roots and earned her place as monarch through her heroics in the 40 Year War. She does not suffer fools lightly, and carry's her mother's Zwihander with her at all times. A loyal friend and a formidable foe, Rhiannon is best not crossed or betrayed.

Personal history

Born a sickly child to parents from Pennygyntaff, Rhiannon had been marked to be the avatar of Morrigan. Her birth parents were rebels in the Gwenyddian uprising and prophecy had fortold them to die. Although the heroes known as the 'Parental Problems Posse' attempted to save the girl's parents, an attack by Azumon and Galvurnax sealed their fate. The sick child was taken to an ancient henge near Saunton and their soul was meged with Morrigan.
Rhiannon was raised by Ovak and Pasca in Devil's Bridge, given a comfortable life and supportive upbringining. Before the 40 year war, Rhiannon had taken on work as a holy woman and speaker for Morrigan in Devil's Bridge alongside supporting their parent's bookshop. When the Seldrinar attacked, Rhiannon helped the tieflings flee Devil's Bridge and journeyed to join the army.
Although absent from the battle of Saunton, Rhiannon was enraged by the Seldrinar sack of the capital and murder of the royal family. Reuiniting with her mother Ovak and the former adventurers who saved her as a baby, Rhiannon began to reassemble the Commonwealth's armies and inspired hope to resist invasion. Instrumental in the land war, Rhiannon retook Saunton and was crowned as queen by her soldiers and the nobles she rescued from Seldrinar clutches.

Meeting Doomed 2 Die

Rhiannon first met Doomed 2 Die in Devil's Bridge at the memorium for Ovak and Pasca. Einar, as a follower of Morrigan, was eager to meet their god's avatar. Rhiannon shared some of Einar's memories with them by tapping into their shadow powers and vowed to help Azura clear their name.
Rhiannon was present at Azura's trial and had to be calmed from executing Gwenyth Youngspell when the absent mother disintegrated her daughter's romantic interest, Killyn. Rhiannon then agreed to help the party defeat the Cult of Dagon and was present at the battle of the docks. After the cult was destroyed, Rhiannon and Jarl Naerfi Oath-Knee formed a new alliance and the queen promised to help the party retake Drekenheim when needed.
