Northern Seas
Encircling the peninsula's of The Veld are the Northern Sea's. Tempestuous and frigid, with gentle trade winds in summer that give way to fierce piercing storm rages in winter, they are one of the most trafficed seaways of the world.
Fauna & Flora
What rests in the depths of the sea's is a secret for the Gods and Wizards. The Northern Seas are filled with many creatures, both beneficial and baleful to the peoples of the Veld.
Fish Species include a stunning number of species fished for food, and countless other kinds. Some common kinds include; Lampreys, Dogfish, Sharks, Rays, Sturgeon, Herring, Eels, Salmon, Trout, Smelt, Cod, Haddock, Whiting, Pollock, Pipefish, Seahorse, Mullet, Seabass, Remora, Mackerel, Goby, Tuna, Swordfish, Sole, Flounder.
The Sea also includes Sea Mammals, including Both Toothed Whales such as the Orca and the Sperm-whale, and non-toothed Whales like the Blue and Humpback Whales. Dolphins and Porpoise are also seen. While Whales are sometimes hunted for Bones, Meat and Oil, Dolphins are considered auspicious symbols of good fortune.
The Sea itself is often called 'The Whale Road' in honour of the mighty giants of the Sea.
Living in and around the Sea are Various kinds of Seals, and to the Far North, the Dreaded Walrus, a creature renowned for its' aggressive defence of it's territory and the sabre like tusks with which it may skewer a man whole.
