Riverside

Riverside is Sanroth's second-largest city, second only to Erichor, and located beside a major river in the country's central region and making it a relative hub of trade and activity. It has long been a divided place, full of crime and corruption. The city's western district belonged to the corrupt members of the Riverside Guard, led by Captain Glowcreek, while the city's eastern district was ruled by the crime lord known as the Widowmaker and those under her influence. 
The simmering conflict between Glowcreek and the Widowmaker escalated quickly after the Party's first arrival in Riverside, as both factions sought the Black Ledger that could lead to either's downfall or victory in equal measure. When the Party returned to Riverside after managing to escape the first time, they found the city in a terrible state. 
Fortunately though, the actions of the Party soon led to a change in circumstances for the troubled city. The Widowmaker was killed and her cartel disbanded, while the malevolent head of the local Inquisition chapter was also eliminated and thus allowed a more responsible leader to step in and end Glowcreek's reign of corruption.
