Ashenfeld
Structure
The Ashenfeld canton is a monarchical feudal structure. With titles being inherited or being given for services rendered. However, these titles are given to families rather than individuals, and the oldest in said family becomes the patriarch or matriarch of the feudal lands.
Culture
The Ashenfeld canton is very martially oriented while retaining a high degree of snobbishness. They fought their way to dominance in the house wars and view themselves as superior to the other houses who merely held on to their places.
Public Agenda
Their public agenda is the stabilization of the region following the empires collapse. The view the empire as a reasonable and desirable form for their own canton to eventually take, and are not shy about their distaste for the orcs to the south.
Demography and Population
There are a significant amount of elves in the region. These elves are generally split by topography, with the wood preferring the northern areas of Ashenfeld, the dark preferring the more mountainous areas, and the high elves spreading everywhere else. There are also a large amount of half elves and some dwarves. Humans are also largely represented, but not as much as in other cantons. There are also some goliath populations hailing from the north, but these are more rare. Certainly not unheard of, but rare.
The Ashenfeld canton has a very high birth rate, being heavily family oriented.
Territories
Much of the Ashenfeld canton is land of the former elven dominances. In the time of the empire, the elves were heavily split into various house lands, but the ashenfelds went on a war path after the empire's demise and united them.
