Sharkhan Mangroves
The Sharkhan Mangroves are a huge series of floating, ever-shifting mangrove islands that drifts in the northern waters of The Azure Sea, west of Antaros. There is little solid ground to be found here, though life still prospers both above and below the crystal clear waters.
The only solid ground is to be found on Baslett Isle, a blasted place near the centre of the mangroves that is controlled by a tribe of grotesque, misshapen giants that hurl huge stones at any ship that comes too near the coast. Great stone ruins can be seen on the upper reaches of Baslett Isle, though none have ever got past the huge giants.
The trees of the mangrove are full of brightly plumaged birds, monkeys, and other strange beasts. In the waters below lurk a variety of predators; crocodiles, sharks, piranhas and worse.
The mangroves are the ancestral home of the Carcharion, and rumours persist of a hidden underwater city of sunken tubes and coral called Coaria, in which they live.
