Waleen Peaks

The largest and highest mountains in the world are to be found in the Waleen Peaks. Many of it's peaks are so high that they constantly reach above the level of the highest clouds.
This huge mountain range remains largely unexplored, due to it's distance from civilised areas and any travellers having to pass through the Fearwyd Weald to reach its foothills.
It therefore remains a place of mystery and story, and what lies in it's central peaks no-one knows. Rumours speak of a plain of ice and snow beyond it's heights. These few tales have been brought to the shores of The Azure Sea by a few Dragonborn, who claim that tribes of their folk have cities hidden in the Peaks. It is also rumoured to be the place from where the very few Goliaths that wander into civilised lands have emerged.
The range covers some 225,000 square miles, and the highest elevation is well over 30,000 feet. Many of the peaks, especially those to the west of the range are covered in ice and snow throughout the year.
