Risenbone Peaks

Sitting on the edge of Fenning's Wash and the Drowned Jungle, the Risenbones are a long and jagged range of mountains of unusual appearance. Huge, towering pillars of sharp rock jut hundreds of feet up into the air above the main range, giving the impression of the skeletal spines of some long dead titanic beast.   These huge spurs of rock have their own ecologies, with many birds and strange beasts nesting in the pock-marked cliffs and strange tendril-like vines falling down their sheer faces. Blue waters flow down from pools between the spurs, forming a myriad of waterfalls that flow down into the Drowned Forest. The sound of rushing water fills the air.   The shape of the Risenbones makes them incredibly difficult to traverse, and the inner peaks remain largely unexplored. There are rumours of a large city of chromatic Dragonborn lying hidden in the central parts of the range.
