Personal history
"Cowabunga" Peppermill was born in the Gnome settlement of Highburrow, within the island nation of Valorshire. Cowabunga was known to be an adventurous troublemaker as a child and had a great passion for music.
After a childhood rich with chaotic antics, the young Gnome would depart his home at the age of eighteen and would travel to the Valorian city of Blueharbour in order to try his hand as a musician.
Early in his music career, the Gnome would find himself threatened by rowdy fans and would seek out a mentor to train him in combat so that he might defend himself against future threats. In the process of his training, Cowabunga found himself to be a capable and clever combatant and decided to continue his martial education by becoming a soldier for hire, which when combined with his prowess as a renown bard would only further his prestige.
Over the years, the Gnome would become known as Cowabunga Peppermill and would gain renown, first among the population of Valorshire, then abroad all across the continent of Vandora. Before long, Cowabunga Peppermill was a household name with an avid young fanbase.
Keen to further his life's great adventure, and excited to see more of the world, Cowabunga Peppermill announced a tour across The Mastorian Empire. Cowabunga Peppermill would begin the journey, and along his way would charter a voyage on the ship of Fulgur Percutien, a sickly ship captain keen to reach the city of Arkeluw to seek out aide to manage his failing health.
The two would travel together, with Cowabunga Peppermill first performing in the city of Martinbrakt, and then following to give performances along the Amberic Corridor as the two companions continue on to Arkeluw.
Cowabunga Peppermill spends sometime with Fulgur Percutien, enjoying the chaotic and corrupted spirit of Arkeluw. When Fulgur accepts a contract with The Mulkwast of the Sixth Circle, Cowabunga consents to join him.

Cowabunga Peppermill would arrive at the mountain estate of Mulkwast Manor in advance of his travelling companion Fulgur Percutien, Cowabunga Peppermill would excitedly help himself to the spread of food and drink left for him by the Mulkwast servants. He would become fast friends with the Goblin Buggy, and would work hard to convince the Changeling Ackio to join them in their alcoholic revelries.
After some time left to settle and enjoy the gratuities of the mansion, Cowabunga Peppermill and his companions would accompany Gottfried Goss as they approached the grotto of hawthorn trees where a nest of Wyvern were living. There they discover a Wyvern Hatchling mourning the loss of their deceased mother, and after the Hatchling strikes savagely at the group, they kill the child as well.
The group return to Mulkwast Manor with their quarry and there return to their revelry. They enjoy a bountiful feast in the company of the Mulkwast of the Sixth Circle, where Cowabunga enjoys the meats and stews presented to them, and they have a festive and gleefull night.
Before the night is done, Cowabunga is convinced to enjoy Buggy's Monster Energy drink, combining it with the mansion's spirits to create an intense alcoholic concoction. Fulgur grows so drunk from the concoction that Cowabunga and Buggy are forced to help him get back to his bedroom, before departing to rest in their own rooms.
As the night would go on, Cowabunga Peppermill would be awoken to the sound of combat in the hallway and would stagger out to discover a bloody conflict going on between the guests of Mulkwast Manor and its monstrous servants. Seeing the servants feral and putrid nature, Cowabunga would join his fellow guests and would stand beside Fulgur in a firing line to help ward off the attackers with magic.
