The Old Gate

This is the first gate of the city, it was built first. It is a small gate compared to the Main Gate, but it is larger than the small gate on the other side of the city. It has a portcullis and a double gate house. this houses the guards. It is part of the Portland Ward and It dumps right into the TEMPLE ROW BOROUGH. When the city wall was being constructed this was the first gate, and soon after all the churches and temples started to build just inside the gate. The roads became clogged and other building sprung up. The King decided that the main gate should be on the main road to the capital city, so he moved the main gate south.   The Temple of Shune and its followers control this gate. They watch everyone who comes and goes. They pay for the upkeep of the city watch towers and the old gate house. They own almost the first two blocks when you get inside the city. Beware of Shune and the Vile followers.
