Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Sophia takes the form of a small girl with long, fluffy, unkempt hair. When transformed into Pandora, her hair turns black, becoming straight and matted. Her eyes turn red and have a slight glow to them, as well.

Special abilities

  • Awakening: Sophia can awaken anyone from slumber, no matter how deep.
  • Dream Guardianship
  • Dream Manipulation/Oneiricpotence: This is Sophia's primary and signature ability. She can manipulate any dream in any way she chooses, and is functionally omnipotent within the dream world. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to:
    • Daydream Manipulation
    • Dream Absorption/Dream Eating: Sophia can consume or absorb dreams. When she does this, the individual stops dreaming entirely until they wake up.
      • Confusion Inducement
      • Identity Erasure
      • Knowledge Absorption/Knowledge Theft
      • Memory Erasure/Memory Theft
    • Dream Communication
    • Dream Destruction
    • Dream Duration Manipulation
    • Dream Imprisonment: Sophia can imprison someone within a dream, leaving them unable to wake until she lets them go.
    • Dream Inducement
    • Dream Interaction: Sophia can pull objects, creatures, or people out of someone's dreams, and bring them into reality. She can easily destroy or erase these items at any time.
    • Dream Negation/Suppression: Sophia can suppress or negate an individual's ability to dream.
    • Dream Observation
    • Dream Recall Manipulation
    • Dream Replication: Sophia can perfectly replicate someone's dream, and induce it in either herself or others.
    • Dream Searching: Sophia can search for the dreams of others, in both the past and the present, enabling her to either recover dreams once thought lost, or find specific individuals by their "dream signature" (as Sophia calls it). This ability does not extend into the future, and only applies to dreams that have occurred or are presently occurring.
    • Dream Sharing: Sophia can create a link between multiple individuals while they are asleep, ensuring that they exist in, and share, the same dream.
    • Dream Walking
    • Nightmare Inducement/Nightmare Manipulation (as both Sophia and Pandora)
    • Oneiric Cognition: Sophia can instantly understand and discern any "deeper meaning" a dream might have, even if this meaning is not immediately clear to the dreaming individual. This also applies to her own dreams.
    • Oneiric Omnipresence
    • Oneiric Shapeshifting: Sophia can change her or others' dream selves into anything she chooses.
    • Oneiric Slaying: By killing someone in a dream, Sophia can cause brain death in an individual, leaving them in a vegative state. This effect is irreversible. Sophia has never used this ability, and refuses to out of principle.
    • Oneiric Teleportation: Sophia can teleport anywhere within a dream, or teleport into someone else's dream.
    • Subliminal Messaging
  • Eternal Slumber Inducement
  • Fatigue Inducement
  • Healing Coma: Sophia can place others into a healing coma if they need emergency treatment or suffer a mortal injury. This slows most of their body processes to almost a complete stop, but speeds up their healing ability to an unfathomable degree.
  • Insomnia Inducement
  • Life Bestowal (circumstantial): Sophia is able to bring stuffed animals and plushies to life. Some of the other gods regularly stitch and sew new ones for her, and she breathes life into them. These plushies are always incredibly caring and sweet, and will do their best to help or support Sophia... even if sometimes, they aren't very good at it.
  • Mental Projection: Sophia can project her thoughts and imagination into reality, such as dream creatures, weapons, objects or simple images.
  • Omni-Sleep Inducement: Sophia has the ability to put anyone or anything to sleep, including people, plants, and even machinery or robots. This extends to creatures who do not normally need sleep.
  • Omni-Telepathy
  • Personal Sleep Manipulation: Sophia has the ability to control all aspects of her own sleep (even while asleep). She can turn these various effects on and off at will. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Circadian Rhythm Manipulation (her own)
    • Contagious Sleep: Upon hearing or seeing Sophia asleep, others become sleepy themselves.
    • Contagious/Sleep-Inducing Yawn: When Sophia yawns, she can induce fatigue or sleep in others.
    • Dreamlessness (herself)
    • Sleep Depth Manipulation (her own)
    • Sleeplessness (herself)
    • Sleep Quality Manipulation (her own)
  • Reality Dreaming: Sophia has the ability to overlap and merge either her or others' dreams with reality, along with all the rules (or lack thereof) that come with said dreamscape. This is a dangerous and powerful ability, and is not one Sophia frequently uses.
  • Sleep Combat: Sophia can fight while asleep, no matter how deep in slumber she is.
  • Sleep Embodiment
  • Sleep Negation
  • Sleep Paralysis Inducement
  • Telekinesis
  • Total Hypnosis: Sophia can induce a state of total hypnosis in an individual, whether they realize it or not. This can be used to put others under her control, or it may be used to create an illusion that envelops all five senses.
    • Illusion Inducement/Manipulation
    • Hallucination Inducement
  • Godly Condition: As a goddess, Sophia possesses the following natural boosts, without using any abilities:
    • Divine Form: Like all of the gods, Sophia can gather all of her essence in one place, and shift into her true form. This form is unknown by anyone other than the gods, as well as immortal races such as angels and devils; upon seeing it, an individual would disintegrate into nothing but ash.
    • Godly Detection/Perception: Sophia can sense both life force and magic, regardless of cloaking, illusion, or any other means that would render the user invisible or untraceable. The only individual she and the other gods cannot detect is Eris.
    • Godly Magic: The only one more powerful than Sophia in terms of magical power and ability is Eris.
    • Godly Reflexes: Sophia's reflexes are impossible to outpace. Only Eris is faster.
    • Godly Regeneration: Sophia's natural regeneration of injuries and wounds is much faster than that of any race, allowing her to heal even near-mortal wounds within seconds.
    • Godly Senses: Sophia's senses are among the best in the universe. This includes better sight, better sense of hearing, taste, smell, and touch.
    • Godly Speed: Sophia's speed is impossible to match. Only Eris is faster than her.
    • Godly Stamina: Sophia's stamina is nearly unlimited. Only Eris can outlast her.
    • Godly Strength: There is nearly no upper limit to the feats of strength Sophia can perform. Only Eris is stronger.
    • Ichor Properties: Rather than blood, Sophia posesses ichor, a golden fluid and the blood of the gods.
    • Immortality: While Sophia can be wounded, she can never truly die, and will resurrect even if her body is utterly destroyed.
    • Multipresence: Sophia has the ability to be in multiple places at once, doing many different tasks at the same time.
    • Omnilingualism: As a goddess, Sophia can inherently speak and comprehend all languages, even code languages.
    • Teleportation, Type VI: Sophia can teleport almost anywhere, covering lightyear distances on a cosmic scale. She can take mass up to the size of a skyscraper with her when teleporting.
As Pandora, she gains the following additional abilities:
  • Berserker Combat: Pandora is ferocious and merciless while in combat, and hardly anything can stop or phase her. She has little other higher thought than threat identification and enjoyment in bloodshed.
  • Fear Inducement
  • Killing Instinct: Pandora inhenrently "feels" the best and most efficient way to inflict mortal wounds.
  • Killing Intent: Pandora becomes vicious, cruel, and murderous when she's the one in charge. Her killing intent is overwhelming and nauseating, and can inspire deep-seated fear in almost anyone.
  • Knife Mastery: Pandora's skill with knives is unmatchable, and she can wield a knife in any way she chooses to.
  • Pain Suppression: Pandora has a greatly increased pain tolerance compared to Sophia, and most injuries won't even slow her down or give her pause.
  • Psychic Shield/Corrupting Madness: Pandora's mind is inaccessible at all times, and her mental walls cannot be broken down. Any attempts to read Pandora's mind or infiltrate it will infect the assailant: the longer they try to stay connected, the more Pandora's madness begins to spread to their mind as well.
  • Unpredictability

Apparel & Accessories

Sophia wears a long white nightgown with shoulder straps. Purple frills line the bottom of the sleeves and the hem of the gown. She wears slippers in the shape of various sleeping animals, usually sheep, cats, or rabbits.   When transformed into Pandora, her clothes change into a tattered shirt and shorts, and her slippers disappear, leaving her barefoot.

Specialized Equipment

Sophia possesses a godly artifact known as the "Wand of Dreams" - a simple golden wand with a purple orb embedded in the end. Inside the orb is a two-dimensional Z, which floats and slowly rotates.   Pandora's weapon of choice is unnamed, but takes the form of a rusty (albeit razor-sharp) oversized knife.

Personal history

Warning: The following section contains mild references to abuse. Reader discretion advised.
Sophia was created by Eris at the beginning of the universe, and tasked with helping create the universe. She did not intervene at first, as Evelyn and Erebos volunteered. After Evelyn and Erebos went to war due to different views between their children, Sophia was one of the ones that watched on in worry for her siblings. When the Light-Dark war ended, Sophia was asked, along with the other gods, to continue making the universe.   Sophia created Xendola. She also assisted in creating Sephecura, Miditeria, and Eistros. She was directly responsible for the birth of carbuncles, fairies, and sprites, and aided Erebos in the birth of nox.   After all was said and done, Sophia was one of the gods that wished to return to the Realm of the Gods, seeing her work completed. However, Eris refused to follow, declaring that he would remain in the mortal world to meddle around and observe as he saw fit. Sophia, among the other gods, tried to convince Eris that leaving the world to grow on its own was the best choice, but he refused to heed their words. While the other gods took up arms against Eris, Sophia did not participate. She could not bear the thought of hurting or being hurt by Eris, or destroying their familial bond and friendship. At her request, her sibling and guardian, Thetos, also abstained from the conflict. She received emotional support from both Helene and Thetos at this time.   The War of the Gods is often colloquially called the "Ten-Minute War", due to the speed and fury with which the other gods were beaten by Eris. As with his intervention in the Light-Dark war, he was merciless and brutal in his retaliation, and it is said that after the war was over, Eris was nearly bent on erasing the universe, along with the other gods, deeming it a failure, thanks to both the Light-Dark war and the Ten-Minute war. However, he hesitated, as he cared for his new family. While the other gods begged him to reconsider, Sophia was instrumental in talking Eris down. She bared her heart to Eris, pouring out her feelings, sadness, and fear, telling him that they were family, and that family shouldn't be fighting like they were. Her words gave Eris incredible clarity and guilt, and, emotionally spent, Eris acquiesced. With Sophia's help, a treaty between the gods was formed, stating that, excepting any major existential threat to their creation, Eris was not to interfere. However, he could remain in the world of mortals to observe.   At some point after the Ten Minute War, Sophia began to suffer frequent abuse at the hands of Silas. Thetos was unaware of this at first, and when he eventually found out, Silas warned him to keep his mouth shut or he'd abuse Thetos too. Thetos was frustrated, worried, and felt helpless, but he knew that, were it to come to conflict, Silas would inevitably win. For a long time, he watched as Sophia suffered this abuse, but could do nothing. Curiously, despite all the abuse, Sophia never shifted into Pandora during this period. Fortunately, one day, Silas was caught abusing Sophia by Eris. This drove Eris into such an interminable rage that he asked to speak to Silas, alone. What happened between Eris and Silas is still unknown, but after that day, Silas never abused or even bullied Sophia ever again, and for this, both Sophia and Thetos are incredibly loyal and grateful to Eris.   Contrary to the treaty, Sophia regularly spends time in the world of mortals, but the other gods seemingly take no issue with this.

Morality & Philosophy

Sophia is a free spirit with a good heart. She only wants to see everyone happy, and wants everyone to get along. She hates fighting and conflict, and will try to defuse wherever possible, usually to great success. However, Sophia is the goddess of dreams, which includes nightmares. At best, Sophia makes dark humor or says unnerving things when annoyed with or trying to intimidate someone. At worst, Sophia has a dark side if truly pushed to her limit, and will often unconsciously "shift" into her other aspect when this happens - "Pandora".    Pandora will not hesitate to lash out, traumatize and scare anyone and everyone into submission, often with disastrous results when she reverts back into Sophia, leaving Sophia with a brief but intense state of catatonia, panic and guilt. Fortunately, Sophia's patience runs very deep, and kindness is always her first response.
