- Darkness Generation and Manipulation: Erebos's skill as an umbramancer is unmatched. He can control and generate darkness in any way that he chooses. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to:
- Absolute Darkness: Erebos can consume and snuff out any light, creating darkness that is so overwhelming it can actually negate the other senses, such as hearing or smell. The darkness is so overpowering that it can potentially consume and destroy almost everything and anything in its path.
- Animated Shadow: Erebos has the ability to bring his shadow, as well as others, to life.

- Shadow Reanimation: Erebos has the ability to reanimate and control corpses or even skeletal remains, via their shadow. It is a power he despises, and almost never uses.

- Umbrakinetic Immunity: Erebos can absorb the darkness in any given location. In the same vein, he is immune to darkness-based attacks, simply nullifying them.
- Umbrakinetic Regeneration
- Fear Embodiment/Alternate Form: Erebos has the ability to change into his "true" form (separate from his divine form.) Although many of the details are unknown, and few have ever seen it, Erebos's true form is the most terrifying thing anyone, mortal or otherwise, can witness. In this form, even looking at it is enough to make most go mad from fear or catatonic. Given Erebos's personality, he does not like using this form very often. But if he feels there is a great threat to his children/family, he will not hesitate to transform into it, usually in a fit of rage. However, devils and other creatures of Hell are unaffected, even upon seeing the form in its entirety.
- Godly Condition: As a god, Erebos possesses the following natural boosts, without using any abilities:
- Divine Form: Like all of the gods, Erebos can gather all of his essence in one place, and shift into his true form. This form is unknown by anyone other than the gods, as well as immortal races such as angels and devils; upon seeing it, an individual would disintegrate into nothing but ash.
- Godly Detection/Perception: Erebos can sense both life force and magic, regardless of cloaking, illusion, or any other means that would render the user invisible or untraceable. The only individual he and the other gods cannot detect is Eris.
- Godly Magic: The only one more powerful than Erebos in terms of magical power and ability is Eris.
- Godly Reflexes: Erebos's reflexes are impossible to outpace. Only Eris is faster.
- Godly Regeneration: Erebos's natural regeneration of injuries and wounds is much faster than that of any race, allowing him to heal even near-mortal wounds within seconds.
- Godly Senses: Erebos's senses are among the best in the universe. This includes better sight, better sense of hearing, taste, smell, and touch.
- Godly Speed: Erebos's speed is impossible to match. Only Eris is faster than him.
- Godly Stamina: Erebos's stamina is nearly unlimited. Only Eris can outlast him.
- Godly Strength: There is nearly no upper limit to the feats of strength Erebos can perform. Only Eris is stronger.
- Ichor Properties: Rather than blood, Erebos posesses ichor, a golden fluid and the blood of the gods.
- Immortality: While Erebos can be wounded, he can never truly die, and will resurrect even if his body is utterly destroyed.
- Multipresence: Erebos has the ability to be in multiple places at once, doing many different tasks at the same time.
- Omnilingualism: As a god, Erebos can inherently speak and comprehend all languages, even code languages.
- Teleportation, Type VI: Erebos can teleport almost anywhere, covering lightyear distances on a cosmic scale. He can take mass up to the size of a skyscraper with him when teleporting.
