Lilith, Goddess of Poison (LIH-lihth)

Lady Lilith , Goddess of Poison

Lilith is the Goddess of Poison, and one of the major deities of the universe.

Divine Domains

Assassination, betrayal, disease, envy, misdirection, poison, temptation, toxins, treachery, treason, vengance, venom

Artifacts

Lilith's primary artifact is her kris, Incipius.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Lilith is tall and slim, with not much muscle mass to speak of.

Body Features

Lilith's nails are a dark purple, almost black. Her "nail polish" is actually a potent neurotoxin, which Lilith herself is, naturally, immune to.

Special abilities

  • Godly Condition: As a goddess, Lilith possesses the following natural boosts, without using any abilities:
    • Divine Form: Like all of the gods, Lilith can gather all of her essence in one place, and shift into her true form. This form is unknown by anyone other than the gods, as well as immortal races such as angels and devils; upon seeing it, an individual would disintegrate into nothing but ash.
    • Godly Detection/Perception: Lilith can sense both life force and magic, regardless of cloaking, illusion, or any other means that would render the user invisible or untraceable. The only individual she and the other gods cannot detect is Eris.
    • Godly Magic: The only one more powerful than Lilith in terms of magical power and ability is Eris.
    • Godly Reflexes: Lilith's reflexes are impossible to outpace. Only Eris is faster.
    • Godly Regeneration: Lilith's natural regeneration of injuries and wounds is much faster than that of any race, allowing her to heal even near-mortal wounds within seconds.
    • Godly Senses: Lilith's senses are among the best in the universe. This includes better sight, better sense of hearing, taste, smell, and touch.
    • Godly Speed: Lilith's speed is impossible to match. Only Eris is faster than her.
    • Godly Stamina: Lilith's stamina is nearly unlimited. Only Eris can outlast her.
    • Godly Strength: There is nearly no upper limit to the feats of strength Lilith can perform. Only Eris is stronger.
    • Ichor Properties: Rather than blood, Lilith posesses ichor, a golden fluid and the blood of the gods.
    • Immortality: While Lilith can be wounded, she can never truly die, and will resurrect even if her body is utterly destroyed.
    • Multipresence: Lilith has the ability to be in multiple places at once, doing many different tasks at the same time.
    • Omnilingualism: As a goddess, Lilith can inherently speak and comprehend all languages, even code languages.
    • Teleportation, Type VI: Lilith can teleport almost anywhere, covering lightyear distances on a cosmic scale. She can take mass up to the size of a skyscraper with her when teleporting.
  • Toxikinesis/Poison Generation/Manipulation: Lilith is the most powerful poison magician to ever exist. Her skill with controlling and manipulating poison is unmatched. This ability includes, but is not limited to:
    • Acid Manipulation and all the abilities associated.
    • Amnesia Inducement: Via toxins that induce memory loss.
    • Curing
    • Decay Inducement: Via toxins that are highly destructive to tissues and organs, causing them to rapidly fail and decay.
    • Fear Inducement: Via toxins that alter brain chemistry in order to instill fear in an individual.
    • Hallucination Inducement: Via hallucinogenic substances such as certain drugs or venoms.
    • Healing
    • Miasma/Poison Gas Manipulation: Includes nerve gas and other neurotoxins.
    • Pain Inducement: Via painful venoms or toxic substances.
    • Paralysis Inducement: Via paralytic agents such as venom.
    • Petrification: Via toxins that turn an individual to stone.
    • Poison/Acid/Disease Immunity
    • Poison Bestowal: Despite the name of this ability, it does not induce poison; instead, it bestows toxikinetic abilities onto the targeted individual.
    • Poison Constructs/Creatures/Weaponry
    • Poison Decoding: Lilith can break down and determine the base elements of any venom, disease, or poison with 100% accuracy.
    • Poisonous/Venomous Animal Control: Any animal that possesses a natural poison, Lilith can command and take control of. This includes octopi, jellyfish, pufferfish, snakes, komodo dragons, spiders, venomous insects, and others.
    • Poisonous Aura
    • Poison/Toxin Absorption
    • Poison Transferral: Transferring poison from one individual to another.
    • Radiation Manipulation
    • Rage Inducement: Via toxins that induce anger in an individual.
    • Sleep Inducement: Via toxins that put an individual to sleep.
    • Toxic Area: Lilith can create a field around an area that is intensely toxic to those within it.
    • Toxikinetic Flight/Surfing
    • Venomous Claws: Lilith keeps her nails coated in a deadly toxin at all times, which conveniently doubles as nail polish for her.
    • Venomous Fangs: Lilith's bite is laced with a highly potent neurotoxin.

Apparel & Accessories

Lilith wears a dark green, sleeveless silk tunic, embroidered with two snakes. Their heads are located at either side of the collar, and they intertwine with each other down the center of the dress. She wears a rounded, silver belt around her waist shaped like a snake with emerald eyes, eating its own tail. She wears brown sandals. For jewelry, she wears bracelets and a necklace made of many different poisonous plants, interwoven with each other, such as nightshade and poison ivy.

Specialized Equipment

Lilith's signature kris (a type of dagger with a wavy blade), Incipius, is a dark purple dagger with an iridescent emerald-colored hilt. She can morph it into a full-sized sword at will; the blade's waved edge remains the same.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Lilith was created by Eris at the beginning of the universe. Why is not known. It is thought that, like Silas, she sprung forth from the darker aspects of Eris's psyche unintentionally. She, along with the other gods, was tasked with helping create the universe. She did not intervene at first, as Evelyn and Erebos volunteered. After Evelyn and Erebos went to war due to different views between their children, Lilith watched on in mild amusement. When the Light-Dark war ended, Lilith was asked, along with the other gods, to continue making the universe. Lilith created dipsa, basilisks, and hydras. She also had a hand in helping to create poison dragons, as well as assisting in the creation of Etrix.   After all was said and done, Lilith secretly wished to remain in the mortal realm, but she did not say so, for fear of angering Eris. However, to her surprise, Eris refused to follow the other gods back to their realm, declaring that he would remain in the mortal world to meddle around and observe as he saw fit. The other gods tried to convince Eris that leaving the world to grow on its own was the best choice. Lilith remained silent, but watched to see what would happen. Eris refused to heed their words, and as a result, the other gods had no choice but to take up arms against Eris, much to Lilith's amusement and excitement.   The War of the Gods is often colloquially called the "Ten-Minute War", due to the speed and fury with which the other gods were beaten by Eris. During the war, Lilith, Helene, and Sophia, Goddess of Dreams abstained from action, taking neither side. As with his intervention in the Light-Dark war, Eris was merciless and brutal in his retaliation, and it is said that after the war was over, Eris was nearly bent on erasing the universe, along with the other gods, deeming it a failure, thanks to both the Light-Dark war and the Ten-Minute war. However, he hesitated, as he cared for his new family. The other gods begged him to reconsider, although Lilith, as always, was indifferent. Emotionally spent, Eris acquiesced, and a treaty between the gods was formed, stating that, excepting any major existential threat to their creation, Eris was not to interfere. However, he could remain in the world of mortals to observe.   Lilith took this as an implied invitation to return as she wished to the mortal realm, and although the other gods often protest, they never act on these complaints. As such, Lilith often spends a large amount of time in the mortal realm, usually disguised as a mortal.

Sexuality

Bisexual/Polyamorous

Accomplishments & Achievements

  • Created dipsas, basilisks, and hydras
  • Assisted in the birth of poison dragons and the continent Etrix

Morality & Philosophy

While not explicitly evil, Lilith is primarily concerned with, and out to serve, only herself. She can be persuaded to aid others, but only if there's something in it for her, or if she takes a personal interest in whoever she's aiding (for better or worse). She often considers herself above most of the other gods, and looks down on them or mocks/torments them, though always stops when Eris or another god stands up for the target of her bullying.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

At the moment, Lilith has no long term goals or motivations.

Likes & Dislikes

Likes: Basilisks, bitter food, blue-ringed octopi, bullying the other gods, dragons, grapes, hydras, jellyfish, poison, snakes, sour food, spiders, tarantulas

Virtues & Personality perks

When given ample compensation, Lilith will do everything in her power to protect or aid someone, and given her godly status, she rarely, if ever, fails in this.

Vices & Personality flaws

Lilith is spiteful, condescending, passively-aggressive, and self-absorbed. She cares little for most other people unless there's something in it for her.

Social

Family Ties

The other gods are Lilith's family, and although they and Lilith keep their distance from each other, they, at the very least, acknowledge their familial bond.

Religious Views

Self, Eris

Social Aptitude

Lilith is an excellent smooth talker, and has no trouble getting what she wants. She's coolly extroverted, and has a unique charisma that, for better or worse, lures people in.

Hobbies & Pets

Lilith has an abnormally large, purple-scaled Basilisk named Charon.

Speech

Lilith's voice at any given time is usually sultry, though her speech can become sharp and direct if she feels she's being belittled or slighted.

History

Felicia and Lilith were created together by Eris at the beginning of reality. Felicia and Lilith don't necessarily "like" each other per se; more than anything, they're business partners. Lilith provides lethal poison to Felicia, so that she can poison any mortal she feels gets in the way of a potential love interest. Beyond that, their relationship is rather cold; Felicia sees many of her own flaws in Lilith's character, which makes her uncomfortable. Lilith, in turn, points these out whenever Lilith tries to lecture her about morality.

Nicknames & Petnames

Lilith often shortens Shannon's name to just "Shan". She also occasionally calls Shannon "darling", which Shannon hates.

History

Terra and Lilith are sisters and were created together by Eris at the beginning of reality. One might think that the plant-based nature of many poisons would mean that Terra and Lilith get along rather well. However, this is not so. Terra dislikes Lilith as much as many of the other gods, and her reverence of all life conflict's with Lilith's desire to destroy and kill. In the same vein, Lilith views Terra as self-righteous and pompous, and tries to avoid her whenever she can.
