Alderac Union
The Alderac Union is a Nation located in The Old World on the continent of Drachen. Like its northern neighbor, the Empire of Ussura, it was once part of the great Dwarven kingdom known as Maghar. The Union is so-named because it was formed from an alliance between the native Duergar people, who had suffered oppression under Maghar's rule, and Elven refugees fleeing religious persecution in nearby Syrneth, ancestors of the modern Drow. Despite the hostility of its neighbors, Alderac is a thriving Nation and has become a hub of international trade thanks to its vast Mineral Resources.
Alderac is the tenth-largest Nation in the Old World by Land Area and the twelfth-largest by Population. Duergar and Drow, present in almost equal numbers, form most of its population, though it also hosts significant Human and Tiefling minorities. Alderac is an ally of Ifri, a rival of Khitai, and an enemy of Hellada, Sihalis, and Ussura.
