Baerithyn Rex
Baerithyn Rex is an NPC who holds dominion over the Red Mountains in the heart of the former Archaean Empire. A Silver Dragon, he has lived for centuries and takes little interest in the affairs of "small" creatures. He does, however, allow both the Humans of the Legio Milles and the Harpies of the Scarlet Wind to inhabit the mountains in return for tribute, gifting them his cast-off scales as tokens of his largesse. Baerithyn Rex was the first living Dragon seen by natives of The Old World in nearly 200 years. Anja, Eagrym, Günther, Ivellios, Lyudmila, and Ranaghar encountered him on 2/11/214 and were allowed to depart peacefully because of the scale they had been given by Lasthena.
