Architecture
The guild hall, once part of a now-lost town, is built like a stout barracks, emphasizing security over elegance. Its architecture features robust, short stone construction with a low profile that discourages use as a vantage point and focuses on fortification. The structure includes two stout, circular towers with flat tops, integrated seamlessly into the thick walls that encircle the hall. Heavy, iron-bound doors and small, narrow windows reinforce its defensive purpose. The facade, adorned with the guild's banners and insignias, adds a touch of color to the solid gray stone, signaling strength and resilience while welcoming members and visitors.
Function
Serving as an adventuring hall and guild, providing training, quests, and a strong sense of camaraderie among the locals, aspiring heroes, and seasoned adventurers. Dedicated to the protection of Westkeep and its surrounding areas, they foster unity and uphold the ideals of heroism and honor.
Community Engagement
The WestWatchers organize regular events such as combat demonstrations, festivals, and community defense drills. These activities prepare the town for potential threats and strengthen the bond between the guild and the townsfolk. The hall maintains a cooperative relationship with local leaders and
The Church of St. Ygg. While their methods may differ from the church, the similar goal of protecting Westkeep is worth the effort.
Recent Developments
With the recent clearing of a treacherous path to the
Salmonsen Mine by the adventuring group "We-Haul," the WestWatchers have taken an active interest in this new route. The opening of the path enhances trade and travel efficiency, introducing new challenges and opportunities for the guild.
