This timeline encompasses major events, discoveries, political change, and inventions that have shaped the history of the region.
Avinia was an empire that comprised of the hooked arm of Taifar's mainland, with Caelora as its capitol. It eventually expanded to include the north-eastern part of Taifar as well.
The Failon Dynasty encompassed the Westernmost part of Taifar, from Temok (its capitol) to the edge of the map and ending at the norther mountain range.
Avinia and the Failon Dynasty had a conflict over the control of the ocean on which both their capitols sat. Avinia's queen became convinced that as the Failon Dynastsy became more and more prominent, they would eventually want to take over the whole coast. The Failon Dynasty had been asserting more of a presence at their border. To prevent a potential take-over of the coast, Avinia blocked off some trading routes. After a few years of blockades, conflict, and no trading between the two city-states, they came to the agreement that both places would be better off with open seas and trade with one another.
Olhassi became a powerful city and expanded its influence throughout the north. The leaders of the city united small villages of the region under it through protection, infrastructure, and transportation of goods. It eventually became known as the nation of Urenloff, with Olhassi as its capitol.
The giants in the mountains near Olhassi decided to take over the city. Seeing how prosperous the city was becoming, they decided they wanted the people living there to become their servants, making them kings among people. After a year-and-a-half occupation of the city, a band of heroes was able to rise up and overcome the giants to take back control of their city.
The Affliction caused so much destruction that the nations of Taifar collapsed. Natural disasters caused many people to become displaced (if they survived), and travel between cities was very difficult. This lead to each nation breaking down and dissolving as the world was thrown into chaos. People congregated in the safest places, which happened to be the capitols of each nation, Caelora, Temok, and Olhassi. What was left of these nations were these cities.
As people began to rebuild their lives after the Affliction, Marsil'hai was founded. Many people congregated here because it was one of the only places left in Taifar that had good land for farming.
